Backyard Chickens may produce fresh eggs, but are they safe?

The incredible edible egg. Where I live, having chickens is like the cool thing to do. "Fresh" eggs are being sold all over the place. I like the idea of getting fresh eggs. But, note that eggs from "pet" chickens often contain traces of lead because the soil in many yards contains lead. Do a Google search on lead in backyard chickens' eggs to learn more - .
